Julia Roy-Williams is an established designer maker based in Manchester. She makes and sells from her studio shop at Manchester Craft & Design Centre where she has been based for the past 6 years.
Her jewellery brand WONDERHAUS has been featured in The Times on Sunday & GRAZIA and is worn by celebrity fans including Maxine Peake and Erin O Connor.
Julia is obsessed by colour and form. Inspiration for WONDERHAUS jewellery pieces are wide ranging, a love of travel, patterns in nature, modernist architecture, an air of Italian art deco glamour. Julia fuses these elements together to create modern original designs.
WONDERHAUS is made to be worn boldly and courageously, as a statement of the wearer's personality, independent, curious, well travelled and confident.
Julia is constantly extending her practice as a designer. Other projects and roles undertaken include designer on the V&A funded ‘Design For Life’ project, merchandise designer for SEEN opticians and Contact Theatre, collaborative jewellery collections for designers TXLW and Lisa Stannard, facilitating workshops technician on Manchester College's Jewellery & Applied Arts degree.
